OTB Trades — client projects and lead fees

• Requesting quotes is free for clients. Every project is checked by our team before it goes live, and we may decline any project.
• A client's name, phone number and email are shared only with the tradespeople who unlock their project — at most 3 per project. Projects close automatically after 30 days, or earlier if the client closes them.
• Tradespeople pay a one-off lead fee to unlock a project. The fee depends on the client's budget and is shown before payment. Paying for a lead gives access to the client's contact details; it does not guarantee the work.
• Lead fees are non-refundable, except where a project turns out to be fake, the client cannot be reached, or a payment arrives after a project has filled up or closed. Contact us within 7 days and we will refund or credit you.
• Quotes sent through the site are between the tradesperson and the client. Accepting a quote tells the tradesperson you'd like to go ahead; agree the final price, scope and payment with them directly.
• Only clients who hired a tradesperson through a project posted on OTB Trades can review them. Reviews must be honest and about the work. We may hide reviews that are abusive, contain personal details or aren't about the work. Tradespeople can post one public reply to each review.
• On The Build Zambia introduces clients and tradespeople but is not a party to any agreement between them. Clients should agree price, scope and payment terms directly with the tradesperson they hire.
